WDG Goes 4-0 in Week 8 vs. Heat Check Gaming and Mavs Gaming

After the last bye week of the season, WDG went a perfect 4-0 with a pair of sweeps over Heat Check Gaming and Mavs Gaming, demonstrating the results of teamwork, a strong defense and a hard work. The four wins help WDG increase its lead atop the NBA 2K League’s Eastern Conference standings.

A strong defense led to plenty of opportunities on offense for WDG against Heat Check Gaming.  JustAwkward was named the player of the night with an 18-point scoring effort in Game 1 and 15 point in Game 2. He also totaled eight steals over the two-game matchup. WDG took Game 1, 66-50, and Game 2, 74-59.

Wizards District Gaming vs Mavs Gaming

After the series sweep against Heat Check, WDG took on longtime rivals Mavs Gaming and took both games by scores of 71-68 and 73-58 in Games 1 and 2, respectively. JBM took player of the night honors with 27 points in Game 1 and a 26-points in Game 2, along with 21 total assists across both games.
